The book presents the work of Edward Dodwell, a young nobleman and scholar of classical studies from Ireland who travelled twice in Greece (1801 and 1805-1806). His drawings which depict views of the landscapes and people of that time were published in 1819 in his ‘‘Classical and Topographical Tour through Greece’’.
